Toyin is an Entrepreneurial Specialist, currently with @MESTAfrica where she is the project manager for the Digilogic project aimed at boosting cooperation and long-term, sustainable partnerships between European and African Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs). The project's aim is paving the way for innovators, startups, and SMEs to jointly develop smart logistics solutions in close cooperation with industries and investors. She is also a Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) Ambassador for Ghana with the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (@WEDO) where she mentors, trains and empowers women and girls at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
Passionate about entrepreneur eco-systems, youth, women and the environment, Toyin has upwards of 30 years of international development and enterprise experience with a concentration in NGO communities. She's worked in-depth with African Foundation for Development (@AFFORD (https://www.afford-uk.org/)), @USAID (https://www.usaid.gov/), @RemitAid (https://afford-uk.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Introduction-to-RemitAid-2012.pdf), @DFID (https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/foreign-commonwealth-development-office), @VSO  (https://www.vsointernational.org/)and @Comic Relief (https://www.comicrelief.com/). Her experience in West Africa includes working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary and distributed teams improving economic opportunities for varied enterprises. She has developed, led and managed UK and European-funded projects and also designed and implemented projects and programs that supported the creation of jobs and business opportunities within the UK, Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone and in Diaspora communities. She has a passion for Africa and relocated to Ghana in 2014.
In her humanitarian activities, Toyin currently sits on the Board for Street Children Empowerment Foundation (@SCEF).
