Yana Fleming has worked in marketing communications for over 20 years with 15 years specialising in emerging markets. Over the past decade and a half, Yana worked with clients in more than 30 countries. As a communications consultant, she focuses on designing and implementing culturally and technologically appropriate measurable integrated marketing communications plans bridging the gap between clients’ vision, budget, and timeline with the capabilities of their local staff to sustain the efforts. Her photography was first published in New Orleans in 1995. After a brief stint working in Lisbon, she was an award-winning visual communications specialist for the United States Postal Service. From there, Yana went on to do communications capacity building for SMEs and NGOs in Mozambique. As a consultant, Yana brings creative and technical know-how, and a wealth of strategic communications experience garnered from working with multinational corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and nonprofits. Having spent the majority of her career in developing nations, she believe in the need to build the capacity of local talent.
