Oswald Osaretin Guobadia is a globally recognized digital strategy and policy architect, renowned for nearly 30 years of leadership in infrastructure development, innovation ecosystems, and regulatory reform across Africa. As Managing Partner at DigitA, Oswald has led multi-million dollar initiatives, most recently operationalizing UNDP Africa’s Timbuktoo Policy approach and architecting Sierra Leone’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Policy to harmonize digital agendas and empower cross-border growth. He is the principal force behind the Nigeria Startup Act, now referenced as international best practice, and his contributions span fifteen nations, uniting heads of state, multinationals, and development agencies to build resilient, future-ready technology platforms, data centers, and regulatory frameworks. Oswald is the author of pivotal works including "Beyond Transformation Towards Digital Evolution, and "In Pursuit: Journeys in African Entrepreneurship" and frequently shares policy and infrastructure insights at TEDx, GABI, United Nations, BBC Africa, CNBC, Wharton, and global innovation summits.

Previously serving as Senior Special Assistant on Digital Transformation to the President of Nigeria, Oswald mobilized over 800 digital champions for the country’s largest national startup policy rollout, and directly advised governments, corporate boards, and multilateral leaders on implementing scalable digital and infrastructure reforms. His board appointments span finance, technology, philanthropy, and academia, and his approach bridges public–private partnerships with transformative strategy, shaping Africa’s innovation climate and positioning the continent as a rising force in the global digital economy. In addition to his board service, he is also involved in several other charitable initiatives through the Lagos Nigeria chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, where he is a founding member.

Oswald makes his home in Lagos, Nigeria and Delaware, USA. He’s married to Tanisha and blessed with four children. As a family, they support philanthropic initiatives and enjoy travelling, reading and watching movies. On any given day, you’ll find them piled up in a minivan driving cross-country and hoping for a rest stop.
