Muhammida El Muhajir is a global brand/digital marketing and media consultant, entrepreneur and filmmaker with extensive travel/study/work experience abroad: Europe, Asia, Latin America, Caribbean, and Africa. She has established a solid reputation and network in her field for her visionary strategies for innovative brands such as Nike, Diesel, Pepsico, Land Rover, and Sony Japan.

Her experience in technology includes a Fellowship with Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Incubator where she provided business development expertise to a portfolio of tech startups from Ghana and Nigeria and a role as Product Manager at Ringier Digital Marketing Ghana leading the sales, digital strategy and operations for clients such as Ghandour Cosmetics, UBA, and Samsung Electronics.

As the music marketing manager at sports powerhouse, Nike, Inc., El Muhajir spearheaded pioneering campaigns and programs with music industry heavyweights such as Eminem, Outkast, Alicia Keys and Pharrell Williams.

Producing the acclaimed ‘Street Stylez‘ international fashion tour in Sao Paulo, Tokyo, and Paris as well as the ground breaking documentary, “Hip Hop: the New World Order” exploring the global impact of hip hop, has established El Muhajir as an expert voice on international trends in music, fashion, art, and culture.

El Muhajir has served as a speaker at international arts and educational organizations including the UN, Brooklyn Museum, Oxford, UC Berkeley, The New School, and Harvard where her works have been incorporated into the curriculum in the Women’s Studies and Education departments.

El Muhajir pursued graduate studies in International Relations at The University of Ghana and received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Howard University.

She currently serves as Director of Strategy at WaxPrint Media, a West African based media/digital agency and consults for Stembees, a non-profit that promotes STEM education and opportunities to girls in Ghana.
