She trained in Pediatrics at North Shore-LIJ and completed a Preventive Medicine residency at Stony Brook Medical School. She has a Master’s in Public Health from the Mailman School at Columbia University. Dr. Donald is passionate about developing and implementing clinical programs that merge technology and healthcare delivery systems to improve health outcomes. Until recently, Dr. Donald worked at Northwell Health as the Medical Director of Value Based Care. In this role, she established an innovative care model which utilized healthcare analytics, payer data and strategic clinical partnerships to proactively assess and identify vulnerable populations that needed medical attention. A trip to Tanzania in 2018 would change the course of her life, it was during that trip she decided to move to Tanzania and develop digital health programs to expand access to quality healthcare. In February of 2020, Dr. Donald resigned from Northwell and moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to pursue her dream of democratizing healthcare for all. The global pandemic forced her to change course a bit and after a move to Nairobi, Kenya and some much-needed downtime she has resumed her efforts to build an effective, affordable, digital health platform that can be used to improve care delivery across a variety of health care settings.
